SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it's alarmed regarding the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is more info to reach-out to your large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The assistance issue created for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
